I just got back from watching Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. So of course, I turned on my ITunes and I’m now typing while listening to the movie score. (Scott…you can have fun with that one!)

So was it great? Unfortunately, the answer to that would be no. I definitely enjoyed myself and was interested in the story and what would happen next. The movie definitely looked and felt like a sequel to the other three. The effects were not splashy, the editing was the same as the others, and most importantly the music was classic John Williams. The movie almost felt like that favorite shirt that you haven’t seen in years and put on. It feels great, but at the same time…you love it more for the memories.

My love of the character and the movies extends back to probably around 1st grade. I can remember playing in the basement with a cheesy rafia cowboy hat as my fedora, a cowboy and indians gun and holster as my gun, and of course, a jump rope as my wipe. So it really brought a smile to my face when you see Harrison put on the Fedora for the first time. Simply iconic.

Should you go see it? Well…did you like any or all of the first 3? If the answer to that is yes, then go see it. Otherwise, save yourself 8 bucks.
